Korean Rice Ball (JOMEUKBAP)

(About 7 servings)

Ingredients :

  • 200 g of korean white rice (the fluffy one)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp broth powder
  • Nori flakes
  • Salt

 

  • Peeled corn
  • 1 diced carrot

 

  • 40gr Dry Proteina LS that has been soaked in water, kneaded, and drained with repetitions of 2-3x⁠
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1½ tbsp teriyaki sauce
  • ½ tbsp soy sauce
  • ¼ tbsp sweet soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Sauté the garlic then add the onions. Sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add Proteina and mix well
  3. Add teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, salt, and pepper and mix all of them. Taste. If the taste is perfect then set aside.
  4. Season the rice with sesame oil, soy sauce, broth powder, nori flakes, and salt. Taste.
  5. Add the sauteed Proteina, carrots and corn into the rice. Stir well.
  6. Take 1 portion rice mixture, then using your hand form the rice into a round shape.
  7. Sprinkle nori pieces on top. Jomeukbap is ready to be served.
